personally, i've found two methods for choosing names (i do a lot of
RPGing...:)...
1) open your favorite book to a random page. scan the page. take the
first name you come across. and for a Klingon name, use the TKD for
this, or transliterate (put the name into Klingon sounds -- use TKD's
pronunciation guide and approximate).
2) do what several others on this list have done: go through the
vocabulary list and choose a word or two that you like (or that describes
you in some way). this is how i chose my name -- naQ'avwI' is,
literally, "the guardian of the staff", which is a rough description of
my spiritual beliefs. i'm not sure what methods others have used --
yoDtargh's name could be translated "targ of the shield" or "shield-targ"
or "the targ shields"; charghwI''s is "Conqueror" (apparently after
William the).
do whatcha like -- when all is said and done, it's your name; make it
something you like.

check with some of the fan organizations -- KAG, KLAW, etc. if you have
access to Usenet news, try posting to alt.startrek.klingon -- folks there
know all sorts of costume creators.
