The reason I see this as wrong is that a relative clause exists merely to
identify a noun which is used as subject or object of a sentence's main
verb. An imperative verb must be the main verb of a sentence. It needs that
emphasis. I cannot imagine ANY Type 9 suffix working with an imperative
prefix.
In the English text for this attempted translation, "dark" is not the main
verb and "seek" is not merely a verb needed to help identify the thing
which is darkest. I can't see the fundamental MEANING of the sentence
changing in translation that much, just to use the grammatical tools you
seem interested in using.

No way. The {law'/puS} construction is a complete sentence. It cannot be
used as a clause within a larger sentence. It's grammar is unique and its
function is limited. You are working very hard to make use of the wrong
tool.
There is no indication that it is ever okay to put ANY affix on either
{law'} or {puS} in a {law'/puS} comparative. You can only use this
construction one way. You begin with a noun or noun phrase, then a verb
describing a quality, then {law'}, then another noun or noun phrase, a
repeat of the same verb describing a quality, then {puS}. That is all you
can do with that construction.
The only room we have to play here is in forming the noun phrase. This
really limits the room we have to expand this construction and that is okay
because there are many other constructions. Just use this tool for what it
does well and the rest of the time, just use something else.
