Hi all, I am a bit preoccupied, and I just have time to read a few messages
from time to time... I'm sorry, all KATErs, that I failed to mail my tape.
I always remember late, and, besides, my tape recorder drags TERRIBLY.
I just found that out when I tried to make my KAT to E. {{:^)
Imagine what Kligon sounds like with speed cut in half...
I'll tell you. A very dim-witted goon of a Klingon. That's what.
I'm not posting that.

About the winds and Mariahs...
They are both Direct Objects.
Evidence:
1. (At least in the grammar of my language) direct object is defined as
the part of speech designated by the accusative case. Subject is
always in nominative. All other cases of indoeuropean tradition
are classified into indirect objects.
2. There is one class of verbs that uses Double Accusative construction.
Those are all the verbs that name, appoint, or otherwise pronounce
something to be something else. This class of verbs is the only one
that uses such a construction, and has its own paragraph in the
grammar.
So, there are some verbs with quite restricted area of meanings
that behave a bit oddly: they are different from all other verbs in that
they have TWO DIRECT OBJECTS.
And <pong> is certainly such a verb.
Don't trust me? Look it up in any Latin handbook.
Well, you can call me Indoeuropean. So what? You're too. :)
And if you say that just because Latin and Croatian work that way
that doesn't say anything about Klingon, remember that Direct Object and
Indirect Object are also Indoeuropean terms. There you have it. :)
But this is really a moot point; it doesn't really matter what kind of
object it is. I don't see how can nomenclature help solving the problem
in question. It being Klingon and all. {{:^)
Enough rambling... I post for the first time after MONTHS, and I just can't
stop my babb... Umm, clicking.
