August archive available, ftp site up!

All of the August posts to the list have been archived on the KLI ftp
site! The archive name is: /pub/Archives/KLL-Aug.94
Don't forget: Case counts!

The KLI ftp site on KLI.Org is now up and running. Most of what was on
HablI is also available on the KLI machine, except for a few things which
the KLI might not be able to distribute. The KLI machine is a SUN workstation,
so it should work better for those people who may have had problems with
HablI.
If you want to upload something, you may do so in the /incoming
directory. Don't be surprised if you cannot see it in the directory after
you send it.
PLEASE: remember that much of the contents of the ftp is copyrighted,
either to the respective creators or to the KLI!
For those who don't know much about ftp, here are some detailed
instructions how to ftp a file to your account. Anything in <>'s should
be typed exactly as it appears, without the <>'s:
>From your account prompt: <ftp kli.org>
You will get a login: prompt. Type: <anonymous>
For the password, type your *entire* email address (I.e.: [email protected])
To actually ftp the file, use the 'get' command. To download the August
archive, for example, type: <get KLL-Aug.94>. You have to be in
the right directory. Use <ls> to get a listing of the files and
directories in the directory you are in. Use <cd> followed by a
directory name to move to a sub-directory. Use <cd ..> to go
back up a directory. Use <pwd> to show you what directory you
are in if you get lost. {{:)
Type <bye> to close the connection and end the ftp session.
