My objections to using {-lu} on intransitive verbs were based upon what
appeared to be a pattern to the rules in TKD, combined with the absence of a
canonical example to the contrary. Somehow, I missed that the example on TKD
page 171 {quSDaq ba'lu''a'} "Is this seat taken?" ["Is it that one sits at
the seat place?"] was exactly this sort of example.
Given this example, ugly as it is, exists, I forfeit my argument and
apologize for any stress my stubborness may have caused anyone.
