HotlhwI' asked for a word for "eclipse" as a noun.
How about /So'ghach/, the noun form of "hide"? Or perhaps
/'angHa'ghach/? (That one has the advantage of throwing a bone to the
"restricted -ghach purists".)
One can probably avoid many uses of this word through recasting.
For example, the following lines from the epic /qeylIS joH Doq 'ej/:
/Hov'a' 'angHa'lu'pa' HuD'a'Daq vIjaHnIS.
'angHa'lu'taHvIS narghchoH jaghlIj qo' lojmIt./
