Klingon Weapon

I've had a lot of requests for this info, and HoD trI'Qal suggested that I post
it here. I hope no one minds.

First, let me state that I am not the creator of these fabulous weapons. The
weaponsmith is a friend of mine who is selling his creations through a local
merchant, also a friend of mine.

Second, I wish it to be known that I am not acting as an agent for either
party. Rather, I happen to know a source for the purchase of finely crafted,
battle-ready betleHmey (that's the plural, for those of you who don't speak
tlhingan Hol). I am providing this information as a courtesy to my Klingon
Bretheren. I do not receive any compensation what so ever.

Third, you should be aware that this product is not liscensed by Paramount or
endorsed (beyond the quote below) by anyone connected with Star Trek: The Next
Generation, or Paramount Studios.

Now for the details:

At a recent Creations Convention here in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the design
prototype for these weapons was presented to Michael Dorn for his appraisal.
Mr. Dorn's initial comment was, "Jeez, this is a *real* one." Mr. Dorn went
on to explain that the one used on the show is made of a much lighter material
(he wasn't sure what) than the steel version presented to him for his auto-
graph. Other than that, he seemed to think it was quite authentic. The
weaponsmith has gone to a great deal of trouble to make his weapons as cose
to the original as possible. Infer what you will; no claims are made beyond
what is stated here.

Each weapon is crafted by hand and hand finished. The hand-grip areas are
wrapped in real leather (some color choice is available). Your weapon can
have an edge placed on it upon request. Do not mistake the meaning here: the
edge is like that on an axe, NOT like a razor. betleHmey are also available
in different materials (see below).

Prices:

Stainless Steel $400.00
        w/ edge $450.00

Mild Steel $300.00
        w/edge $350.00

Aluminum $250.00
     not available with an edge

For an additional $25.00, you may have your weapon engraved with up to five
words (approximately 35 characters total). The engraving can be done in
Klingon characters, but you will need to check with the supplier listed below
before including this aspect in your order.

This letter ends my involvement in your transaction to purchase a betleH. If
you need further information or wish to place an order, contact:

Michael Fine, proprieter
Star Base 10
11200 Montgomery Blvd. N.E.
Albuquerque, New Mexico 87112
(505) 275-2304

As Mr. Fine is interested in knowing where you got this information, please
specify that you located him through alt.startrek.klingon Internet.

One last item: Star Base 10 has ONE mild steel betleH, personally autographed
by Michael Dorn, for sale. Price: $750.00

I hope this information is helpful. I wish you success in your transaction.

Qapla'!
