I don't think you need -vo' there. Although English uses the
preposition "from", there's no "action ... in a direction away
from" the house (TKD p.28). An object of Hop 'be remote, far'
would most sensibly be the thing that the subject is far from, so
the sentence as is looks fine.

I read pa'vetlhDaq as 'in that room'. But for 'there' it is
tangled and unnecessarily long; see the discussion on pp. 27-28
of TKD. It seems that pa' WITHOUT A SUFFIX is sufficient for
'there, thereabouts', corresponding to naDev 'here(abouts)' (and
also Dat 'everywhere'). (This also has some bearing on another
chain; nick, I think, take notice.) If you need to distinguish
THAT place from some other place, lan seems right: lanvetlhDaq.
