Apparently, ancient Klingons did have two hearts. At least Molor does
in the {paq'batlh} myth. That's probably where you got the idea.
Maybe it's like the distinction between "intestine" and "intestines".
The parts of the single eight-chambered Klingon heart might be
sufficiently distinct (or even just distinguishable) for them to be
considered and mentioned separately.
