Correct.  I was surprised at Okrand's choice of {jabI'ID} too.  It seems 
odd for an issue of a paper magazine, though for an online e-zine or 
newsletter it's ideal.  The KLI and others have long used {chovnatlh} 
"specimen".  Right now, on the KLI's _Qo'noS QonoS_ page, you can find

I've never really understood this use of {chovnatlh}; I've always assumed 
that a {chovnatlh} was something you {chov} "assess, evaluate, test".  But 
this is mere speculation, as Okrand has never used or discussed the word, 
though he has used the verb a couple of times.
