We do have a mailing list and a web site. Both are linked below.

Thanks for this info.

Well, maybe not. It sure would be interesting to run it up the flag
pole and see what the Klingonists here thought of it. Never hurts to
try!

That exactly raises the point that we are asking in our localization.
Unfortunately, in order to decide that issue, we need someone who is
both a fluent linguist and good with computers, a tall order to say
the least, to take the lead and offer guidance to questions like
yours.

We now have a good foundation for organizing Klingonists who are
interested in translating words for the OOo Klingon localization
project in that we have a web site and a mailing list. Here's the web
site.

http://www.pathtech.org/klingon/

And we have a mailing list, which you can subscribe to by send
an email to [email protected] with a body of subscribe
ooklingon. And we have identified a list of 11,000 words and phrases
that we need to translate to get the basic framework of a program
working. Here is the list of words that need to be translated in
different file formats, first being html:

http://l10n.openoffice.org/localization/OpenOffice_Glossary.html

Here's the OOo Writer
format:http://pathtech.org/openoffice/Klingon_OO_Glossary.sxc

Here's a zipped .doc

file:http://pathtech.org/openoffice/Klingon_OO_Glossary.zip

At this point, we need to find a computer-savvy
Klingonist who has the respect of the community to take on the
over-all leadershipof this project. I am periodically visiting
various Klingon sitesto solicit participation in our project.

I have also sent an email to Dr. Okrand to receive is imprimatur
for this project. I don't imagine that Dr. Okrand will be inclined or
have time to step forward to be the leader that we need. So Paul, if
you are interested, or know someone who is, we have an opportunity for
a Klingon enthusiast to really sink his or her teeth into a meaty
project! Thanks for your interest either way!
