More than likely this is what Okrand had in mind.

To continue this discussion, we also have the noun {cho'} "succession" and
the homophonous verb {cho'} "succeed (to authority)" - neither of which has
been used outside of naming the office of {cho' 'oDwI'} "Arbiter of
Succession":

yejquv DevwI' moj ghawran 'e' wuqta' cho' 'oDwI' Dapu'bogh janluq pIqarD
HoD.
Gowron... named leader of the High Council by Captain Jean-Luc Picard, who
was acting as Arbiter of Succession. S25

the verb {Son} "relieve" (not used in canon) and the (apparently) related
noun {SonchIy} "Sonchi ceremony, a special death ritual confirming the
death of a leader before his/her successor could be chosen.

the verb {gheS} "assume duties of, take on responsibilities" (described in
KGT 183-84):

   DaH yaS wa'DIch vIgheS
I now take my place as first officer
"Now I assume the responsibilities of first officer". KGT

juDev 'ej Dujvam ra'wI' DagheS'e' vItlhob
I ask you to lead us as commander of this ship
"I request that you lead us and that you assume the duties of commander of
   this ship". KGT

and the verb {Sugh} "install (in office)" (also not used in canon).

Presumably all of these form regular derived nouns: *{cho'wI'}, *{SonwI'},
*{gheSwI'} and *{SughwI'}. How these would fit in with {nubwI'} and
*{nungwI'} is unknown. Certainly there seems to be some overlap -- at
least to this es-Navyman.
