Re: maleng

I really enjoyed reading most of this. I have one stylistic
comment on something that you do here because it confuses me
about who is doing what. I know that I can be easily
misinterpreted in plain ASCII, so I feel a need to be very clear
in my disclaimer:

THIS IS NOT A CORRECTION. I INTEND NO INSULT. I DO NOT CHALLENGE
YOUR SKILL WITH THE LANGUAGE. THIS POST IS, WITH A COUPLE MINOR
EXCEPTIONS, VERY CLEARLY STATED AND ELEGANTLY EXPRESSED.

Okay?

Meanwhile, with at least five episodes of something like {<verb>
'ej <verb> <subject>}, with the subject referring to both
verbs, often with long phrases stretching this out even
further, as a stylistic point, it is like fingernails on a
chalkboard. It sounds as awkward as an English, "They enjoyed
the play and the visitors promised to come again," instead of
"The visitors enjoyed the play and promised to come again."

I've decided not to go through and point out these instances,
since to whatever extent I'll regret this commentary, I'm sure
to even more regret it if I get down to specifics.

It is SO much easier to read if you either simply repeat the
subject, or state it for the first verb and omit it for the
second one, instead of ALWAYS waiting to place it after the
second verb, as you've done at every available opportunity in
this post.
