The basic structure of a Klingon sentence is object-verb-subject. For
example, <puq qIp yaS> means "The officer hit the child". <puq> means
"child", <qIp> means "hit", and <yaS> means officer. Of course, Klingon
has a lot more variety than this in sentence construction. It's not as
complicated as English, but it is a rich language with many tools for
expressing ideas.

You should read part one of The Klingon Dictionary if you want to
understand Klingon grammar. It has six chapters, and explains everything
from nouns and verbs and basic OVS sentences to things like relative and
purpose clauses. You really can't learn Klingon without reading and
rereading and rereading the grammatical sketch in the Dictionary.
