I'll leave the grammar for the BG or her {lIw}, but here are a couple of
alternatives to {lab}, which tends to be used on the list for posting email
or uploading computer files:
Qum "communicate"
- naDev bIQumqa' 'e' vItul. (MO on MSN BBS 11/96)
- jIQum "I communicate." (STC Klingon Language Studies)
rI' "hail" (cf. rI'Se' "hailing frequency")
{HIrI'} "Hail me!" seems to work best for "Call (phone) me!" You could say
something like {yIQum ghogh HablI' Dalo'taHvIS} "Communicate using a
telephone!" but although more precise, it's a bit clumsy.
Voragh
