As a stand-alone hand held PC, the Newton is better, but the
PalmPilot is a better extention of your Mac. You do primative
word processing and spreadsheets on a Newton. You pull up your
PIM data on your PalmPilot (for half the price) and easily
synchronize data between the Mac & PalmPilot. I use mine both to
carry the info around and to synchronize my PCs at home and work.
I keep appointments, log my hours at various classifications of
tasks, keep phone & addresses, to-do lists, moon phases,
calculator ... and my entire AKD in mine. You can have it when
you pry it from my clutching, dead fingers...
