I've always been convinced that this particular claim would not survive a
legal challenge.  Other precedents have established that languages do not
fit in the category of things which can be copyrighted.  As long as one
avoids pictures of "Klingons" and as long as one is careful about the use
of the trademarked word "Klingon" itself, I don't see a problem.
