That can't be right... reH lugh chargwI', qar'a'? There *must* be
dialects and jargon in TKW, if only we examine it in the right way....

Regarding the role-call, about our own interests in Klingon and such....

0) I'm a first generation Trekkie - watched TOS before it was syndicated!
Made Enterprise and Klingon models in Junior High... have doodled an
infinite

1) I first bought a discarded first edition of the dictionary at my
local library... (early 90's?). As a M.Div, I had some interest in
languages, and I found it interesting, but mostly ignored it.

2) took community ed classes from Glen Prochel (my wife pointed them out;
see below) - that sparked joining the KLI and looking into the Klingon
Bible Translation Project.

3) have worked on and off (mostly off) at some Biblical translations for
the KBTP (what has happened to the BTW?), but have also built up an odd
bunch of web pages (http://members.aol.com/JPKlingon) and get any number
of interesting questions from the internet. Most recently there was a
baker in Devon who wanted help with a birthday cake for a young trekker
....

4) I've taught elementary school classes on Klingon and Constructed
Languages for the enrichment program at my local grade school - that is
great fun! The most recent class is online at:

          http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/4854/

5) I'm 43, have two kids and a wife who ... tolerate my tlhIngan
interests. They suffer in silence.. well not all that silent at times ...
though my wife *is* the one who first pointed out the community ed class
to me, AND she gave me the Timex Klingon watch as a Christmas present.
She's even left "Qapla'" on an answering machine (that had a Trek-oriented
greeting). Actually my wife can (and does) explain pretty thoroughly the
history of the Klingon language movement, differences in factions and
opinions....

6) I hosted a qepHom here in Minnesota
