In another post I mentioned a Linguist List query about uvular affricates
({Q} and friends) in Terran languages. I found it in the Linguist List
archives; as it turns out, it was posted by none other but Mark Mandel!
The summary of the responses (issue 7.838, 7 June 1996) can be found in
<http://www.emich.edu/~linguist/issues/html/7-838.html>; it is a little
too long to repost here.
