What to do? Well, take a look at what people are saying and try to follow
the discussion. Archives of the list are available on the web
(http://www.kli.org/tlhIngan-Hol/). See, we're engaged in stuff called
"discussion" and "conversation"; I'm sure you're run across them before.
What's generally done in a conversation or discussion is that one listens
to it and perhaps joins in with one's own comments, if there's something
you have to add to the discussion, or perhaps start your own topic when you
see how things are going. I'm sure someone can help you work on the fine
points of these skills if you're not really sure of yourself with them.

At any rate, we're a mailing list which discusses the Klingon language.
You should have gotten some introductory information about the list when
you subscribed; if you didn't get any, should I send it to you again? If
you would like to participate, you probably should look into getting a copy
of the Klingon Dictionary (you can order it from the KLI's web page,
http://www.kli.org/kli/Merchant.html) to find out about the language. In
the meantime, you can sort of try to work by listening to what other people
say, but you really will need a dictionary. Check out information at the
KLI's web site (http://ww.kli.org/) and you'll find out more about the
language and what the KLI does (and thus what at least some of this list
is about).

Hope that helps!
