new word on DS9?

Last night on DS9 some cannon-fodder crewman got killed and O'Brien was
taking it pretty hard. Toward the end, he's sitting in the hold with the
casket and Worf comes in. Worf says "Ah. You are performing 'aHmar." Or
something like that. It could have been 'aHma or 'aqmar or 'aqma. It refers
to the practice of holding vigil with the body of a dead companion to keep
predators away. Anyone hear that word any better than I did?
(Interesting note: this is described as a *Romulan* custom in the
novel version of STII:TWOK. Rampant multiculturalism? :)
