No, it's still a fair question.  Paramount has seen fit to supply us with a
slew of English spellings for Klingon words (often just various sounds with
apostrophes thrown in seemingly at random), like "D'k tag" or whatever it
is, so we have to recognize them.  I still prefer betleH, of course.

Well I guess it's a matter of perspective on Paramount's intentions.  I prefer to
think of what Paramount does as _not_ supplying us with a variety of English spellings
of Klingon words but of *misspellings* of Klingon words.  It probably stems from
my total lack of respect for what Paramount does with Star Trek and especially most
things Klingon.  Yes, I know, Paramount gave birth to Star Trek and all things Klingon
but that doesn't make them a parent worthy of respect *now*.
