No, I think you're letting the forms of the words get you confused. The
meaning of the sentence is "It is often called 'the homeworld.'" The word
"juHqo'" is being used here as the NAME. The sentence is assigning a name
to an object we already know about (which we've been calling Qo'noS in
previous sentences). You're letting the fact that "juHqo'" is formally a
common noun and "Qo'noS" is formally a proper noun confuse you. It's still
the *name* that's the object. The name "juHqo'."
