Place not thy trust into computer programs alone. Read your dictionary
(when it comes in). According to TKD (p.91), "jon" means "to capture" and
"jonwI'" means "engineer" (presumably "jonwI'" would also mean "one who
captures.") So yes, the answer is that "jonwI'" does mean "engineer." I
don't see any problem with that; Klingon is known to have homophones
(Hurgh/dark and Hurgh/pickle; chu'/new and chu'/activate). In English,
too, "counter" means both a thingy that counts and the tops of cabinets in
the kitchen.
