I don't know if it has been already said that the first known latin
written example was a black stone, placed in the middle of roman
senate. The words on it were sculpted boustrophedic way.
I think that it is so comfortable to be read, that it was discarded
in a little time: You see, it is easier to scan an ordered text than
one which asks You to have two brain working each way ( and two
independent eyes too ).
