[Tlhingan-hol] Soaring

lojmIt tI'wI' nuv 'utlh ([email protected])

My daughter (step-daughter, actually) wrote a haiku for my wife and I for Christmas:

Gypsy dragonfly
Wandering through the sky
Playfully soaring

Certainly, there’s no way to translate “Gypsy dragonfly”, but the verb “soaring” called out to me. To fly effortlessly is to soar.

pe’vIlHa’ puvtaH; pumtaHghach rur.

Would poetic license allow {reHtaHvIS chal veghlI’}?
