This is true, at least in the Kindle version of the book.

I do not believe that *'aDanjI'* is canon, as it appeared in "A Good Day to Die" but not "Diplomatic Implausibility".

In the book, this event is referred to as qeylIS Heghbat, although a ma'veq is used. Perhaps this term refers to any form of ritualized consensual death - or at least perhaps it did in Kahless' time - and as such is appropriate to describe the ma'to'vor.

"A death ritual that allows one who has lost honor to die well and go to Sto-Vo-Kor by being honorably killed by a House-mate or someone equally close." (Keith R.A. DeCandido, _Diplomatic Implausability_) First seen in DS9 "Sons of Mogh".
The m'veQ {ma'veq} knife and adanji {'aDanjI'} incense are used in the ritual.
[My notes have it as two words in De Candido's books: {ma' to'vor}. Can someone check?]
The ritual appears in the {paq'batlh} (paq'QIH, Canto 3, Stanza 2, pp.184-85):

Kahless kept his word of honor to Kotar,
After his last words, all were sent away,
But his wife Lukara.
Lukara, pregnant of their first-born son,
Understood what had to be done,
And gave him the *mevak*.
Lady Lukara and Kahless,
They said their goodbyes,
And Lukara knew they would meet again.
