Yes. The spelling was provided in Okrand's HolQeD article (HQ 8.4) giving
some deleted Klingon lines from ST5:
lay'tel SIvten:
>1) HQ v8n4p12 (referring to ST5: Scene 64 times 5;
> HQ v8n4p12 (referring to ST5: Scene 127;
> HQ v8n4p13 (referring to ST5: Scene 174
These are the only examples of the spelling {qIrq} provided by Okrand himself:
jemS tIy qIrq. loDHom jIHDI' qIrq qun vIqImchoH.
James T. Kirk. I've followed his history since I was a boy. ST5 (ST5 notes)
yIntaHvIS qIrq DuHbe' roj.
There will be no peace as long as Kirk lives. (ST5 notes)
The other instances of "Kirk" from ST5 and ST6 come from members' audio
transcriptions of the dialog for which I've used Okrand's preferred spelling:
qIrq Duj 'oH.
That's Kirk's ship! ST5
qIrq vIjeylaHchugh...
If I could defeat Kirk... ST5
qIrq. DujHomDaq ghaHtaH!
Kirk. He's on the shuttlecraft! ST5
qIrq wItlha'taHqu'.
Where Kirk goes, we follow. ST5
>2) ST6
>3) NWL20000215; ; proper n; Kirk
Daq SovlaHbe'taH qIrq.
Kirk cannot know the location. ST6
