Klingon WOTD: tuQDoq (noun)

speersd ([email protected])

This is the Klingon Word Of The Day for Tuesday, January 9, 2007.

Category: Trek

Klingon word: tuQDoq
Part of Speech: noun
Definition: mind sifter (Klingon psychic probe)
Source: TKD (110 KE, 142 EK)
Swedish: ¿?tankesikt, tankesil, psykisk sond (klingonsk sinnessond)

Additional Notes:
KGT p. 55: The {tuQDoq}, variously translated as "mind-sifter" or "mind-ripper," is a device that can read the contents of a subject's brain. It is considered a weapon because, at higher powers, it leaves the victim in a permanent vegetative state (though it does not seem to have this effect against those with particularly strong mental faculties, such as Vulcans).
