Never used in canon.

This is probably what the {bI'rel} B'rel-class small Bird-of-Prey is. The
larger {qIvo'rIt} K'Vort-class Bird-of-Prey would likely be called a
cruiser {qughDuj}.

The IKV Somraw was a Raptor-class scout ship {tlharghDuj}, apparently not
the same as a Bird-of-Prey which were also referred to in the episode set
in 2151. (ENT "Sleeping Dogs")

In the ST3 novel (based on an early version of the script), Kruge's small
12-man ship is *always* called a "fighter"--the term "Bird-of-Prey" doesn't
appear. It's possible that {toQDuj} originally just meant "fighter" and
Okrand changed it in TKD after he saw the finished movie (i.e. after
Industrial Light & Magic built the originally Romulan - even earlier
versions of the script had Kruge stealing a Romulan BoP and cloaking device
- Bird-of-Prey model designed by Nilo Rodis).

BTW, the US Air Force had it's own version of the Bird-of-Prey fighter jet
in the 1990's:

The Bird of Prey is a single-seat stealth technology demonstrator used
to test "low-observable" stealth techniques and new methods of aircraft
design and construction. The secret Bird of Prey project ran from 1992
to 1999, and the aircraft first flew in the fall of 1996. The Bird of
Prey was named for its resemblance to the Klingon spacecraft from the
science fiction series Star Trek [...] Boeing donated the Bird of Prey
to the USAF Museum in 2002.
