I don't know if Marc provided any assistance on Keith DeCandido's I.K.S.
Gorkon books. But my guess would be "no."
Why do I say this? Because Keith is a friend of mine, and when he's working
on a novel that has any Klingon in it he routinely contacts me by email if
he has any questions. If the questions are straightforward (and they usually
are), I answer them myself. If they have potential to get tricky I turn them
over to a separate discussion list made up of the current and past BGs and
get input from them, and then I send one or more choices to Keith (along
with a lot of commentary). Keith finds this process vastly amusing, having
once asked for a simple name for a blood ritual and receiving a list of four
choices and three pages of commentary with differently weighted
recommendations.
In related news, both Keith and I (and several dozen other TREK authors)
will be appearing at the annual Shore Leave convention in Maryland in about
two weeks.
