Perhaps these verbs work better for describing punctuation:
*{rarmeH DeghHom} - a "connecting mark" (i.e. internal punctuation: commas,
semicolons, dashes, etc.)
*{chevmeH DeghHom} - a "separating mark" (i.e. end punctuation: periods,
question marks, exclamation marks, etc.)
