As used in canon:

   to'waQ mIQ vutwI'
The cook deep-fries the tendon. KGT

Note the similarity to {meQ} "burn":

   to'waQ meQ vutwI'
The cook burns the tendon. KGT

While tendon or ligament ({to'waQ}) that has been deep-fried is
one of the few hot dishes enjoyed by most Klingons, burnt tendon
is definitely a culinary gaffe. (KGT 191)

If you suspect a pun, you're right. Qov reported from qep'a' loSDIch:

"Marc nodded, smiling infuriatingly, to confirm {mIQ} (deep fry)
    as in {mIQ}-Donald's french fries."
