The Klingon is braver than the Ferengi (slang) KGT

   yIpIv
   Be healthy!
[Okrand sent Glen Proechel a "get well" letter when he was hospitalized
for heart and kidney failure. "I don't know that this makes that phrase
the 'official' way to wish someone health in Klingon, but it is consis-
tent with the idea that sickness is considered a weakness and a Klingon
needs to be ordered to stay healthy." (Proechel, 3/98)

Unlike most speakers of English, who begin conversations with
greetings, inquiries about the state of health of the conversants,
and remarks about the weather, Klingons tend to begin conversations
by simply stating the main points. (TKD 10)]

>Antonyms: rop

"be unhealthy"

   bIpIvHa'law'
You look terrible (You seem unhealthy). TKD
[Rick Endres' says in his fan novel "The Daystrom Project" that this
phrase is often used as a warning (or promise?) to an intended victim.]

N.B. Don't confuse {pIv} "be healthy" with *{pIv}, which occurs as a bound
morpheme in words relating to hyperspace or FTL travel: {pIvchem} "warp
field", {pIvghor} "warp drive", {pIvlob} "warp factor".
