... but a Klingon who defects is certainly a defective Klingon, right? :)
One also needs to be very careful to distinguish between {Duy'} "defect, be
defective" and {Duy} "agent, emissary". I would imagine it to be a grave
insult to one's honour if one were introduced: "And now, our next speaker,
Kang, the Klingon Defect..."
