As used in canon:

  jIQum
  I communicate. (STC:KLS)

  naDev bIQumqa' 'e' vItul.
  [untranslated] (st.klingon 11/1996)

Discussed in KGT:

The word {pIn} is also found in nonslang terms referring to crew members
on a ship: {QeDpIn} (science officer), {QumpIn} (communications officer).
... Note that for the crew terms, in one case pIn follows a noun ({QeD},
"science" thus, {QeDpIn} is "science boss"), but in the other, it follows
what is found elsewhere only as a verb ({Qum}, "communicate"), suggesting
that there may have been a noun {Qum} ("communication") at some point in
   the past. (KGT 158-59)

... as well as the "present". The noun {Qum} appears three times on the
BOP Poster:

   {Qum De'wI'} "communications computer"

   {Qum patmey} "communications systems"

   {Qum SeHlaw} "communications console"

Related verbs include {rI'} "hail", {van} "salute" and {qel} "take into
account, consider". {lab} and {lI'} are sometimes used on this List for
posting (uploading) and receiving (downloading) email and attachments.

Useful communications-related nouns include {rI'Se'} "hailing frequency
(comm channel??)", {Se'} "frequency", {'evnagh Se'} "subspace radio" and
{chaDvay'} "radio frequency, Hertz".
