{neH}, following the verb, trivializes the action. As in {qama' vIqIpta'
neH} "I only hit the prisoner", implying that it's nothing to get worked up
about.
{neH}, following a noun, indicates that only that noun is involved. {Hagh
qoHpu' neH HeghtaHvIS SuvwI'pu'} "Only fools laugh while warriors die".

BTW, Almost all of this can be found in The Klingon Dictionary. Have you
received your copy yet?
