klingon spelling

> another possibility for spelling klingon out loud is to use words like bab,
chach, DaD, ghagh, etc. with the consonant in initial and final position and an
arbitrary vowel in the middle, making them typical klingon syllables, (maybe
using rIghargh for rgh, since no syllables begin with rgh) and for the vowels
you could use 'a', 'e', 'I', 'o', 'u', 'ay', etc, with the vowel between
glottal stops, and whether you treat aw ay oy etc as distinct vowels or
combinations of a+w, a+y, etc. some combination would have to be found to keep the word
for the glottal stop ('a') distinct from the word for the vowel a ('a'), but a
simple change of consonant would take care of that. the vowels could be given
by words like ngargh, ngIrgh, ngIrgh, ngorgh, ngurgh, so they would be fun to
say. of course, they don't have to be all the same shape either. e.g.,
a - qal
e - gheb
I - chIl
o - QoH
u - 'up
they don't even have to contain the vowel itself that they name:
a - reb
e - chIn
I - jaq
o - ney'
u - rIq
same goes for the consonants. but i suspect that if you tried to spell
something and the names of the sounds didn't include the sound itself, you'd get
massive confusion.
