{Saj} is "a pet". That's okay here. Some people like to use the word {vIghro'}, which is a Klingon sort of cat.

We know many birds in klingon, you could use one of those to make your sentence. If a cat eats chicken, maybe a V'gro 
likes to eat a Borgel? :-)
