Re: Klingon WOTD: muq (v)

: Klingon word: muq
: Part of Speech: verb
: Definition: have a volume of
: Additional Notes: KGT.

AFAIK, there are no examples of {muq} in canon, but it's presumably used like
other verbs of measurement revealed at the same time on startrek.klingon:
{'aD}/{'ab} "have a length of", {juch} "have a width of", etc. E.g.:

  jav 'ujmey 'ab SuvwI'
the warrior has a length of six ujs
  the warrior stands six ujs
the warrior is six ujs tall

  vagh 'ujmey vI'ab
I have a length of five ujs
  I'm five ujs tall

N.B. the {'uj} is a unit of linear measure about 35 cm. {tlho'ren} is used to
measure volume:

"The only unit of volume I'm aware of is {tlho'ren}. I'm not
exactly sure how much one {tlho'ren} is, but it seems to be
   in the quart/liter range." (st.k 10/97)

So, one would say:

cha'maH tlho'ren muq 'Iw HIq qeghvam.
This barrel of bloodwine has a volume of twenty tlho'ren.
