The answer is - we don't know. Okrand has given us a very nice variety of
vocabulary for walls, rooms, floors, etc., but we don't know exactly how to
express this. From Okrand's description, though, <tlhoy SaS> seems better
than <rav>.

Either of these seems fairly reasonable, and could probably be used without
too much confusion.

These seem unlikely.

Anything is possible, but it's best to go with the simplest until you find
out otherwise.

In the three qep'a'mey I've been to, someone (including me) has always
brought up the word "elevator", and nobody has every come up with a short
descriptive for it. I doubt we will, unless Okrand gives us a word for
"turbolift".
"Escalator" is another matter: <vIHbogh letlh> makes perfect sense, and the
worst it can be is a bit foreign sounding, even if Klingons have another
word or phrase for it.
