Since I am not tentatively dating a rare beast: a woman who is color blind,
I am newly sensitive to the limited range of Klingon primary colors. The odd
thing, of course, is that the Klingon color differentiation is exactly along
the lines of what my red/green colorblind friend cannot differentiate. She
definitely sees colors. She just can't tell the difference between {Doq} and
{SuD}. All OTHER colors, she can see. She can tell blue from red and blue
from green. She just can't tell red from green. It's like red and green are
one color and blue is the other color. Meanwhile, both red and purple
(bluish red) are {Doq} and both green and aqua (blue-green} are SuD, so the
language doesn't differentiate color based upon the presence or absence of
blue.
