De'vID:
: How about <chop> with a suffix?
: The man kissed the woman lightly: <be' choplaw' loD>
loQ be' chop loD.
: The man kissed the woman passionately: <be' chopchu'qu' loD>
Okrand used {chop}, possibly facetiously, in the British "Radio Times" Star
Trek 30th anniversary book:
HIchop, bang.
Give us a kiss, love.
: It's more Klingon, anyways. =)
Klingon males often initiate courtship by biting the female (VOY "Someone
to Watch Over Me"), as well as slugging them in the face (ST: Generations).
And even among humans, kissing is by no means a universal mating behaviour.
