"Is English your first language?" {DIvI' Hol} is the term often used to mean
"English" (literally, "Federation language"). The suffix {-'a'} was actually
a verb suffix, namely the Type 9 interrogative verb suffix. In this context,
{'oH} means "it is."
Hol wa'DIch = first language
'oH'a' = is it?
DIvI' Hol = English
