I find that English translation rather odd.  I was under the impression that 
it was not for the targs' benifit to let them lay, but for your own.  Of 
course knowing vertually no Klingon yet, I could be raising an illegitimate 
point that is irrelevant to Klingon speakers.  (if this is the case, I'd be 
very curious as to why, teach me, oh wise ones.)
