I have to write this in Terran, there's just no way around it.

Not on B'rel class scouts, but on larger vessels with many troops- such as
the Vor'cha - mechanical air and water recyclers would be heavily taxed.
As an alternate way to purify air and water, I can see Klingon ships
having a "hydroponics room" of something similar. The air does not
smell as stale as mechanically cleaned air, and there's the added
benifit of fresh fruits and vegies. {naH} means fruit, vegetable;
ie. the kind of plant a Klingon eats. Outside the Captains quarters or
ceremonial reasons, I don't see Klingons bringing non-food bearing trees
or bushes onboard. (Unless they're celibrating Christmas, but that'
another "qagh bal.") :-)

tanks.)
