I'm one of the stubborn people who really don't like this. Why?
I killed the targ (with a disruptor) while using a knife (to
clean the butlh from under my fingernails). I killed a targ
(with a spear) while using a knife (to keep score; to slit my
cheek). I killed a targ (by shoving it off a cliff) while using
a knife (which I had stabbed into a crack in the rock to use as
a handle so I didn't fall over the cliff after the targ).
Simultenaity is not enough. I want a FUNCTIONAL link between
these ideas. The PURPOSE of my use of the knife was to kill the
targ. Hmm. "Purpose". "Purpose". I wonder which verb suffix I
should use?
targh vIHoHmeH taj vIlo'.
I see this as the most fundamental reason the suffix {-meH}
exists. It has other functions, but this is the one I learned
first and use most often.
