The -moH changes it.  -moH says you need an object.

It might be a little clearer to first look at it without the -lu'

jIqIp'egh  -  I hit myself
choqIp'eghmoH  -  You cause me to hit myself.

cho-  has an object;  the one that is hitting themselves (me).
