It doesn't necessarily have to be a person, qar'a'? For example:

jonwI' 1: cha'pujqutmey motlh vIparHa'.
jonwI' 2: pImwI'mey vImaS.

(Translation:
ENGINEER 1: I like the standard dilithium crystals.
ENGINEER 2: I prefer the different ones [i.e., the crystals that have unique 
properties, color, etc.].)

Someone else can probably think of a better example.
