The second is saying that you are willing to drink an alcoholic beverage. If
someone gave one to you, you would drink it. You would not refuse a drink.

The first says you actively want a drink. If someone gave one to you, you
would drink it, and if not, you would go looking for one. You will be
happier once you have attained one.
